So you're just choosing to not understand my words? Because not once did I say it was fine.

The county should really look into getting a new DA. He is wasting way to much time and money on this. From what I have read he not only has a unwinnable case he also has no evidence. This case would be almost impossible to win with video of the father shooting the driver. It takes an unanimous jury and he is will never get that in rural Texas. Couple that with his lack of evidence and this is just a dog and pony show and the DA knows it. But on the plus side he will get his name in the papers for a few weeks.

There doesn't seem to be enough hard evidence to convict in this case. He will walk free considering the moral implications and lack of hard evidence.

IMO I don't think he should be convicted. If an idiot drunk driver killed my own kids I'd probably shoot him too. I can understand his judgement being clouded and doing this in a fit of rage. I'd say let it go and chalk it up to one less dangerous driver on the road.

Texting 6 times more dangerous
And eating is even more dangerous then texting

Facts have a history of not letting emotion get in the way. Funny how he never responded to that link. Earlier in thread I was shocked couldn't understand greater risk doesnt mean murder

The 11 year old died at the hospital. I wonder if the time it took for the father to run home, get the gun, shoot the guy, dispose of the gun and clean up, had any bearing on the kid surviving?

Why yes, yes he should to the fullest extent that he can be. He should serve the rest of his natural life in jail.

I went to sleep. And I honestly wanted to read the studies; I wasn't calling him out for being incorrect.

Some of y'all are insufferable.

ETA: Funny how you never responded to my post.

So just remember, when that high school girl was texting and driving and she accidentally hits and kills someone, she deserves to be murdered

Deserves is maybe not the right word but if a father/mother sees her texting and her negligence leads to her killing said father/mothers children right before their eyes I'm going to give them a pass.

Do you people have kids?

if anything, the premeditated revenge murder is far worse than the drunken accidental killing. that guy didn't set out that night actively trying to kill 2 kids. the father went out with every intention of killing the man and he did.

This is as fricked up as chocolate cheese.

We have had a person, even though posts have been rare, ON THIS BOARD that can relate most in that he did commit
a revenge killing because of his child being hurt by a predator.

That man receives the utmost applause here, but none of us can understand that rage without being in situation.

See how that works?

I was tired of arguing with someone who refused to concede he was wrong. I'll try one more time... If you are cleaning a loaded gun in a room full of people and someone gets shot, is it really an accident? I say no... It's not the same thing, but it really kind of is...

Driving intoxicated has been proven without a doubt to be dangerous... Once intoxicated you don't have control over the vehicle... This is not debatable. You can try to argue intent and semantics all you'd like, but you just sound dumb.
