It's like a Chinese tallow tree in that it's invasive with it's seed droppings. But cutting ur grass ends that concern
Buy the plant via eBay, I wouldn't fool with the seeds. A guy from Mississippi used to sell them on eBay. I think his name was sawmill

Try sweet gum (tall), sycamore or swamp red maple, crepe myrtle (smaller but kind of quick), cypress, or live oak (slower but worth it). Also something called carrot wood in FL; you might be too far north for that to grow.
