Ummm, if they were performing an EMERGENCY C-section then something had already gone wrong. Kinda what EMERGENCY means.

Let's just be honest here. With no mention AT ALL of the baby's father, the grandparents were probably going to be raising that kid anyway.

Now look a rates of uncontrolled diabetes (huge risk in pregnancy) and prenatal care.

It’s not a mystery.
