Money grab from family that are just looking to blame someone else for a tragic loss.
They won't get any unless the physicians were truly negligent....which would have nothing to do with race but the competence levels of the medical staff.
There is always some risk with pregnancies no matter how healthy and young you are. Even in 2020. Completely healthy young women could have some freak complication and everything goes south in seconds. The fact that they had to do an emergency C section tells you either mom or the baby's condition deteriorated to where an emergent C section was needed.
Article doesn't mention the amount of prenatal care the mother had received.
Did she suffer from gestational diabetes during the pregnancy? Was she pre-eclamptic?
