Fairhope coonass quota is maxed out.

You can’t move over till somebody dies or moves out.

I live there and it's pretty awesome. Great schools, great parks, decent restaurants and very family and pet friendly. The real estate market is on fire right now.

What's your reason?

I grew up in New Orleans. Katrina pushed me to Foley High over there for 3 years. Now I'm back in New Orleans for work. I miss it everyday. Plus most of my friends are over there. If the right work situation popped up I would do it.

Nice little town, people are ok for the most part, fare share of d bags. Fairhope area is a lot more redneck than you think it is until you spend some time there and figure out the lay of the. Property values in fairhope proper/ fruit and nut area are artificially inflated for no reason. Driving through daphne sucks mainly bc of the cops, although fairhope cops suck too. They don't embrace the cocktails and drive the way we do around here in south Louisiana. We have a place in point clear down from the hotel on the bay, it my idea of paradise and are there most weekends during the late spring and summer for extended periods of time until it starts getting towards duck season then I go to my other favorite spot to be my duck camp. No traffic, boats in lift on the pier, night fishing etc. I usually only go to town on saturdays and avoid all the people etc when possible. If I was moving there I would move down in point clear, if price of water front is prohibitive I would buy out on co 3 around the polo fields areas around Hwy 32 get a spot with a pond and some trees and have a pretty nice life. From there you can enjoy the bay as you will probably meet people that live on the bay and invite you over, go to magnolia springs and fish river area and you can be in OB in 30 min if you like that. I could go on for a full page about it as I have been going since I was a kid, now my kids are growing up as bay rats.
