Eslava holds dual citizenship for the United States and Colombia. During the early morning hours of May 2, the LSU War Memorial was damaged. The flag mast rope was cut down, the United States flag set afire and the LSU flag stolen. An LSU staff member alerted LSU Police, who responded to the area. LSU Police located the suspect nearby, but was unable to detain him.

Maybe, I think he just wanted to get a rise out of people and try and show that burning the flag was a form of free speech. I don't really remember. Just looking for attention IMO

He was crusading for attention and he got it. The kid who got arrested didn't get it for the act of burning itself but for torching University property. He started that whole thing to "show solidarity" for the vandal's free speech, but a bunch of frat daddies came and out free-speeched him.

It was the most humorous display of pissed off rednecks and free-loving hipsters I've ever seen in person. His girl was just standing in the middle inviting piss balloons.

It brought out two very vocal and visible stereotypes.

It was one of those things I thought was hilarious at the time and would be even funnier in a few years, and I was right.

it's probably going viral since the newest thing to do is stomp on american flags and film it.
exactly. That's why it's making the rounds again. Everyone is too lazy to realize the video they are sharing is 4 years old.

I'm pretty sure the OT did some digging and found some old photos of her. I want to say she went to private school in New Orleans. But I could be wrong.
