How do you like the Gheenoe? Suitable for s Louisiana marsh?

It would be great in a Louisiana marsh! It drafts about four to six inches of water depending on how you have it loaded, it's stable as heck so there's no fear at all of tipping when you walk up and down the deck, and it's pretty easy to pole from the poling platform.
25HP 2-stroke pushes me nearly 30MPH.
It's fiberglass, so I'm a bit cautious around the rocks on the Chattahoochee. but I don't think there are three rocks exposed on the surface of the ground in the entire state of Louisiana, so you should be good.
The 13-foot Highsider is rated for 5HP...
15'-4" Highsider is rated for 10 HP...
There's also a Super 16 model but I don't know the HP rating for it. I've seen a couple running with 40's on the stern.
The sister company, Custom Gheenoe, makes the LT (Low Tide) models.
Depending on which model you can find of the discontinued LT15, it'll be rated for 25HP on the first year's models (2007) and dropped to 15HP rating on the later models. It's 15'-10" in length with a 52" beam.
There was no change in the design, only a different Coast Guard inspector the second time around who wouldn't budge on the width-to-transom ratio and forced the manufacturer to change the rating to 15HP.
The LT25 is 16'-0" and rated for 25HP. I believe it has a 58" beam.
There's also the LT10 that looks a lot like the a cross between a Highsider and the LT15. It has a 10HP rating and is stable as well.
I'd recommend any of them for heading into the marshes. I started with a 15'-4" HIghsider and an 8HP tiller outboard that moved it around 20MPH. Moved to the LT15 for a little extra room and a center console set-up.
