I flew over the area last week on my way to Houston. It could have been me.

Heard and felt a deep thud. What was different was that the old trees in my yard crackled and dropped things. I knew something was up.

I work at another plant and there is nothing over the CARE radio system. Seems Weslake Polymers had a “routine” decomp which they do from time to time but that one was beyond routine.
