My best friend of many years, El Josey Wales, created mine as a joke and changed my profile to it after I used his laptop at his house six or seven years ago. The dog is my dachshund and he's somewhat portly. It took me a few weeks to figure out what had occurred.
El Josey Wales is no longer with us, but I feel as if this avatar is meant to stay. Every time I see it, I chuckle at him. It may be stupid to everyone else here, but it means a lot to me.
