Yep, but I did like the little standard deduction boost we got on tax years '20 & '21 for cash charitable contributions. Too bad that wasn't made permanent. Regardless, there are still tax clients who think you get a dollar-for-dollar reduction in income from the crap they give to Goodwill. Non-reimbursed employee expenses are also a no-go.

That said, I think thrift stores are a good thing to have around even if they are for profit businesses.
