Experience with Color blind corrective glasses?

I’m interested in getting my Dad some for Father’s Day, and of course I’m a sucker for the videos circulating showing people wearing them for the first time. I’m aware that it works for some colorblindness but not others. EnChroma is the big name brand associated, and they run at least $350. Anyone have experience with these or the “off brands” less than $100. Any and all experiences are appreciated.

I think when it comes to someone being able to see colors for the first time, 350 probably isn’t to much to shell out. Probably not something you want to get the cheapest brand. JMHO

No doubt about it. And I’ll spend it if that’s what is needed. However, Yeti is a thing still which means name brands charge more simply because they are name brands. I really want my Dad to have this experience, but he’d be super pissed if he found out his son bought the name brand when the knockoffs were just as good.

I have some and am colorblind. I would say it was worth it and I do wear them pretty regularly, however, although colors appear brighter with the glasses on, I am still unable to distinguish/identify some colors
