Whoa, this is just getting started I hate to tell you. This will be every weekend and day off for all of your friends and relatives. I'd fill it in now.

This. You might think he's joking but he's dead serious. You got outside lights on this pool at night? Cuz they will also be having the sex in it too.

Your ranking system is invalid considering you've probably never owned any of the three.

When we bought our house 6 yrs ago, it had (still does) a pool and pool cage over it (big screen porch) to keep most leaves and gunk out. I pay a pool service to keep up with it every week. We didn't intend to have a pool but my wife and I do enjoy it. And when we have family or friends here visiting, we enjoy their enjoyment of it even more. I can't imagine not wanting people I know/like/love being kept out because of some notion I may have about my privacy. I feel blessed to have it and that my blessings are to share.
It gets a little expensive sometimes, but we can afford it so far. When we downsize in a couple more years and sell this house, the next will likely not include a pool. But I'll never regret having had it.

Agree, completely. Never had a pool, so I can't comment.

Don't tell your wife. Invite 18-23 year old women to your pool party.
Post your address and a date to the OT

Yep, owing a pool is a lot like owning a pool table, every year you use it a little less than the year before.

Except with a pool you also have to pay and/or waste time to keep it up...

Swimming pools are to white neighborhoods, what basketball goals are to black neighborhoods. Install one and you'll have the whole neighborhood over uninvited.

Your mistake was marrying into a trashy family.

Your house, your rules. Kick them out.

Or you can call the cops and say you have trespassers.

OP sounds like a huge pussy.
100% chance he is picking up pizza for his SIL and won't ask her to pay when he gets home

Put a stickless corndog or a couple of Baby Ruth's in there, that will get them out with a quickness

In ground swimming pools are like Jeep Wranglers, fun for specific moments, terrible full time.

I loved my pool. It was fiberglass and easy to maintain.

To the OP it does kinda feel shitty when I did have a pool wasn't hard to get people together. They loved coming over...

Removed the pool when I had small kids as I needed a backyard and it was old as shite. Made my backyard nice though. Great place to hang out..

No one comes over anymore. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

I foresaw that bullshite earlier this year when house shopping, and chose instead to move into a neighborhood with a pool that I can enjoy and not have to maintain or be responsible for.

I can simply defile it and go home. The HOA fee is pennies compared to pool ownership.

1. I date randomly and opposed to anything long term
2. I borrow my dad's boat and brothers jet skis
3. I swim in my families or apt complexs
4. I borrow and stay in my dads

No wonder I'm fairly happy most of the time even when I don't have a pot to piss in
