There are plenty of things you can do to meet people, you have to be happy with yourself first
You may need to talk to someone, they may can help you understand why you feel lonely & help you build your confidence

sick of seeing people in relationships. I'm lonely
We've all been there.
Start doing positive be shite.
Go to the gym.
Take a class.
Get involved with people.
As you do more positive stuff there will be a snowball effect and more and more things will fall into place.

Thanks, I was just bummed about this girl. But I'm getting into kayaking , cooking, and exploring Florida.

At least you just asked her out and she said no.
She could have said yes, and then when the engines start going she stops and laughs at your small peen and then tells everyone at work about it.

...And?
Most of my friends are married or in long term relationships. While I would like to find someone, I am not going to force it just because "I'm not getting any younger". I'm 32 and if I find someone, cool. If not, it's not the end of the world, but I can tell you I won't just settle because it's the thing to do (i.e. get married, have kids, white picket fence, etc.)
ETA: Back to the original question, yes, I dated a girl from work a few times when I worked in restaurants. The last girl I dated from work I also lived with for a few years. It did not end well when we broke up and had to figure the living situation out.

I’m almost 40
Single
Never married
No kids
My life is great
Enjoy your freedom, have fun, travel....
Just because you are single doesn’t mean you have to sit at home alone

This is probably a troll
Same thing happened to me. Went on a date. Went bad. She stopped talking to me. I lost a bunch of weight and got kind of ripped and then she came clawing back to me. I stiff armed her like Fournette vs that MSU player

Ever date a girl at work ?
I met my wife at work! She was still in high school, worked in my office through as an office vocational student in the afternoon. Asked her out the first day she started! She said no, but I would not give up and eventually we started dating, married about 1 1/2 years later. Still happily married to her today after many, many years, so it can be done.
Obviously, I didn't care what others thought, but it worked out good for me. However, that was years ago, today the rules have changed, you have to play it slow and be careful. I have seen other guys date co-workers and the other women in the office would get so jealous, not that it is any of their business! Also today, so many women are weird, you don't want them to report you stalking or harassing them on the simplest of issues. Then, you need to make sure to have some background on someone, because they could be lesbian, feminist, only date their own nationality, certain race, etc. I am just glad I don't have to date in this era, feel sorry for younger dudes!
