re: Ever been to a New Year's Eve wedding?

NYE is always a holiday that you say you want to celebrate.....but then when you think about dealing with the crowds, the overpriced everything, the drunks, etc.....you end up saying "F that" and staying home. So having a wedding to go to that night instead, especially if you are staying at a hotel nearby.....sounds much more fun imo. You have an excuse to get all dressed up, will know people there, free booze and food, and event is private so no dealing with obnoxious amateurs out for NYE.
