People making snarky comments about Essence fest are Ill informed.
I worked hospitality in college in N.O.
Honestly, Essence crowd is fine.
Not my taste in music etc but decent folks causing no problems.
Bayou Classic is another story.
But, Essence folks were ok.

Even if Essence was the first week after the ban, the service industry still wouldn’t open back up

100% accurate. Essence is a much different crowd than BC. People really don't understand the difference until you have seen it.

Hmm. We are 4 months out. Granted, I’ve never put on an event of this size, but it seems to me like this is a little early to be making this decision. Unless they know something that hasn’t been made public yet.
