Just drove down Essen. Cop cars and fire trucks everywhere. Tons of unmarked cars with lights on. Red stick sports is taped off with an ambulance in the parking lot. They're in the process of taping off the McDonald's near OLOL. More blue lights way up ahead near the interstate. What's happenin??

BATON ROUGE - Law Enforcement is investigating a deputy-involved shooting that happened around 12:00 a.m. Wednesday.
EMS transported a man after he was shot by a deputy following a foot-chase and altercation.
Deputies responded nearby to an armed robbery call at a gas station on Essen at Essen Park avenue around midnight.
There are two other active scenes right now in two separate parking lots south of the gas station.
No deputies were injured.

Dang....Red Stick Sports is still open? Got my first baseball glove there in 1986. Good for them competing with Academy and stuff.
