I wouldn't do it for that. Would you?

Pretty much $50K everywhere else. I repeat the previous question.

The twist: the cabin is leased by a group of corrections officers that work at the prison.

Maybe they should put a sign up reading "Escaped Con Rest Area."

from Google...

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the 434,870 correctional officers working in the United States in 2011 earned an average annual salary of $43,550. Officers in the lowest ten percent of this profession earned up to $27,000, while those in the top ten percent earned salaries of $69,610 on average.

It's pretty well documented that they have had help from within the prison, several people have already been arrested.

I only know of one woman that's been arrested. Who else was arrested?

They interviewed someone about this yesterday, He said those woods are full of cabins leased by locals, many of them are in fact guards at the prison. Their income level is the reason they pool their money and lease the cabins as a group.

Its not much of a stretch to believe the cabin belonged to CO's who are not involved. Between border patrol, sheriffs, state police and CO's pretty much everyone in the part of the state works in law enforcement... or the bustling maple syrup industry.

How far fetched is it to think they had talked about their cabin with the hag they already arrested and she just passed along the info to the convicts?
