I believe you’re right, the pyramids were not built by slaves. And there’s a dearth of evidence for the exodus as portrayed in the Bible.
But I did see a recent documentary that made a strong case that there IS archaeological evidence for the a group of Jews living in and then escaping Egypt. The problem is, archaeologists are searching the wrong time period. They’re searching for 1200s BC evidence when they should be looking for older evidence. There was some really interesting evidence discussed in this documentary. It was called Patterns of Exodus.

I did quite a bit of research back in college when I was questioning my beliefs. For two years I studied the Bible and archaeology surrounding the Bible. I was afraid of going to hell for questioning, so I did my homework. But, that was over a decade ago so I’m sure there’s more info out there now.

I went to the Facebook pages of some of the folks listed in the article. There were a few really interesting comments. One girl who rides Zulu said she purchased some of the throws but decided not to give them out. Also someone else said they were given the throws by a Zulu rider.
Maybe this was something originally handpicked for Zulu? Also, I was on the route for Endymion for the entire parade and I never saw one.
