People are so stupid. That's not blackface. Another case of digging deep to be offended

yeah, it's one of those things that shouldn't be offensive, but you know people will take offense. If they were exactly the same, but white.....no issues. Just an old school rural person.

The only semblance of siding with those that actually take offense is that even thoigh theres not much reason for it, yoy know its going to cause offense to be taken, so whats the point. Certain things are worth fighting for. Tiny figurines just aren't worth causing the stir unless your intention is to do so (or you are naive)

These look like a tribute to the work of Walter Anderson, a native New Orleanian

Aren’t you the guy who thinks white men are under attack because there’s an interracial Cheerios commercial?

Aren’t you the guy who thinks it’s just fine and dandy that the Obama artist is racist and paints decapitated white women? That’s fine if you believe that, but don’t pretend to be upset about black figurines. And don’t pretend that if a white Trump artist painted black decapitations there wouldn’t be riots in the street and wall to wall news coverage.

I never said it was “fine and dandy,” I questioned the logic behind being upset that obama was painted by a racist and not being upset that the actual president is a racist. I know reading comprehension isn’t your thing, so I understand how you might be confused.

its Unfortunate that people still make shite like this, let alone buy them.

You used to see that stuff in every souvenir shop in Mississippi, and Louisiana. They had it at Stucky's when I was a kid.

Don't own any of that stuff myself, but have an odd story about them. One day back in the 80's, the brakes on my car locked up. I was in a residential neighborhood in Dallas, so I knocked on a door, explained my problem to a lady, and asked if I could use her phone. She told me to come in the kitchen door and use it. I was surprised to see she had a huge collection of these figurines in her kitchen. She had dozens of the salt shakers, toothpick holders, thermometers, even a tea set with these characters on them. She had pot holders, plates, all kinds of stuff on display on little shelves she must have had someone build for her. The reason I thought it was so crazy she had them was because she was a black lady. I know she saw me staring at them, but she never said anything. I wondered where she got them all, and wanted to ask, but didn't.

A meaningless distinction. You’re so full of shite. You want to tap dance around admitting the fact that you’re ok with a racist presidential painter but not ok with a black doll. You’re guilty of the same inconsistent logic. Just own it.

How do you make the (il)logical jump from me being against slave charicatures to being against confederate states, you simple frick?

All your troubles were due to racist statues. They came down.
Now you have troubles with black dolls.

When the black dolls are gone, what will be your next grievance?

I still see it often in east tx. Lots of black and white people, including my grandmother, used to have a black lawn jockey in the yard. I guess people just don’t think about the history of blacks being caricaturized in cartoons and plays and prdoduct ads in this country.

We wouldn’t think advertising from the 20’s depicting black people as barely human, monkey like creatures is ok today. Said figurines are literally no different.

This is all anyone needs to know about you to realize you’re a brainwashed leftist nut. Identity politics is literally the only thing the Democrats have.

You see it as making fun of black people per your own admission.

Those of us who are not racists do not see that the same way until a racist like you says it.

You don’t know shite about me or my political beliefs. If you can’t see see why people believe Trump to be racist or at least prejudice, but believe wholeheartedly that Obama is, then it is you who is brainwashed.

Oh yeah, I forgot about all those times in the past when white people dressed up in blackface to celebrate black people. Remind me again, when was that?

You should just stop pretending to care about black people. They don’t care about white gay guys from Texas. Move on with your life and try to contribute to society.

I’d like to know this too as long as the example isn’t tighter immigration control.
