Linemen are too easy going.. They'd rather work than fight. Oilfield trash all day long.

Never seen a woman lineman. Seen women apprentices and helpers, but no lineman.

My old man was climbing electric poles when he was 63. Had a vice grip. Had a breaker hit his face when he was under a transformer knocked him out for a min. got up fixed what he was working on then drove that big arse truck to the hospital seeing out of one eye.

But lots of mud engineers, geologists, and survey women out there
Survey women on which rig, land or sea, and where. Same question for Fluids personnel. Geologists—-come on man—Oh by survey women you mean MWD—-True at sea, not on land, and typically Brazilian. Patterson UTI land is now hiring women on some land jobs in Texas.

$22 an hour is less than the starting pay for a grunt. Depends on who you work for, anywhere from $28-$48 an hour.

$22?? You don’t know much about lineman. A IBEW Lineman would laugh at $22

An Owlie version of Heaven
Either job sounds like a bad long-term plan for someone who doesn’t ever think they’re going to be 55 years-old.
frick doing either of those jobs in my 50s.
