My dentist told me to hold it at a 45 degree angle and right where the gums meet the teeth. Don't push hard. Slowly move to all teeth and surfaces. Spend at least 2 minutes brushing 2x a day (you gross pigs should at least not resist brushing in the morning).
Even more important, floss at least once a day. I floss in the evening before bed, and usually floss after I eat lunch as well.
