I looked around in Google Maps. This particular part of the area is somewhat dense and less wooded than other parts. The houses are closer together than in other parts. That said, the victim's house is behind a security gate (or at least, Google Maps wasn't able to get Street View pics).
So, is the perpetrator the child of an upper-middle-class family from that subdivision? A friend of someone there? I don't think you have to be super-wealthy to live in that subdivision (just somewhat wealthy).
Did he really wander in from some less affluent part of town, like people here seem to think?
IDK. It does puzzle me, though. There's an answer out there beyond just "Buckhead is ghetto."

Buckhead is a VERY nice part of Atlanta, the problem is you have people who live in places like that who think nothing could ever happen to them. Like when there's a string of robberies in these fancy neighborhoods in north Fulton County and there's always some lady interviewed who says "stuff like that isn't supposed to happen here!"

This is why I will kill a MFer breaking into my car or home. I read lots of threads here where people wonder why you shoot someone for simply attempting to steal your car. It simple, they will kill you if given the chance.

The consequences do not fit the crime. Stabbed and hung should be the minimum death sentence in this case. Maybe these MFRS would think twice about pulling this sht.

The high rises & apartments along Pharr, etc. are absolutely bringing in trash. And they’re only building more.
The remaining bars alongside Roswell/E Andrews have gotten bad too. They’ve replaced regular parking lots with bordered off “valet queues” for those who think they need a valet to fricking Lost Dog

2 miles up Peachtree is where it's at Brookhaven shushhhhhh. It's actually the most affluent area in the city but most don't know that. Buckhead overrated tourist/crime spot
