My mom had a home on Ponderosa and the 1st house I bought was on Ponderosa too. Left there in 2000, was on the edge of getting bad. Drove through there several months ago and was so shocked at everything that I had to take a vid driving through. It's such a shame, because I remember it in early 90's and it was a cool little place.

When was this.
I was boning this Woodlawn dropout there in there in 1993. She lived with her blind grandmaw. Her room was on the end over the trailer hookup spot so it was very easy to climb up in her window.
One night grammy heard some commotion and came barging in the room.
I laid under the covers motionless for what seemed like an hour they argued that nobody had been in her room.

Grammy accused her of smoking b/c My shirt smelled like smoke(My mom smoked). Then she asked what the odd smell was because the open condom on the floor.

fricking blind people and their enhanced sense of smell.
Oh I haven't thought of that Trailer Park in YEARS.

Protip for you broke dicks out there like me who still like some healthy foods at home.

Shoppers Value gets some lower grade Tyson frozen chicken breasts. Small/fatty/etc shite they won't sell at nicer places.
They sell them by the box at Shoppers Value for about $10, which is less than half price of Walmart brand frozen chicken breast.

Use a Crockpot to slow cook or Instapot to pressure cook and they are just as good as expensiver stuff if you want to shred it for bbq/chicken salad/etc or use for jambalaya or spagetti.

We are working with the AZ VR currently. When I first relocated them here I figured his 8 years working at Winn Dixie would easily help him get a job. I mean...it's just a bag boy job at a grocery store. And has to be part time because of his SSI disability he gets. Figured would be easy. Wrong. I put in numerous apps for him online and he had one interview...and I don't think the person interviewing him understood his disability.

So right now he has a counselor that will apply for jobs for him and will pick him up and go with him to interviews. But it took a few months to even get to that part. He had to meet several times for interviews, psych analysis, etc. to determine the extent of his disability. Luckily he was ranked as a high priority need for help. The AZ program will even give him money for interview clothes. The counselor just met with him a week or so ago and told us he needs an AZ ID(even though my mom got her job with her LA ID with no issue) and needs a birth certificate for it because LA's id/driver's license are not the enhanced kind like every other state(of course his birth cert was lost in the flood). So we had to pay money to get one expedited from LA.

ETA: Mikel....they lived there from April 2008 until flood last August.

Great! Hope they help him find something. I worked as a VR Counselor in Louisiana many, many years ago. Loved helping people with disabilities find work and seeing them succeed!
