Bar seating after happy hour and before last call is specifically designed for dining alone.

Three sons, 34, 24 and 21 .. they all took it pretty hard, but are slowly adjusting to life without their mother.

Lost my wife of 34 years a little over 7 months ago

I was widowed a couple of years ago, so I’m familiar with eating alone. I’ve adjusted to that part OK. It’s the random memory assault that I struggle with. It’s weird meeting people that never knew him; he was so awesome and unique and is still my favorite subject.

I feel like a loser. Going alone . Wife’s flight home didn't get back tonight so I’m headed to dinner solo.

Sounds like your wife married a guy with low self-esteem who cares too much about what others think about him.

My wife lost her dad about 3 weeks ago and her mom in 12/2017.
She feels like an orphan.

I understand how she feels. My dad passed back in ‘84. I was 18 but by no means mature. My mom passed in 1999.

Knowing there’s no way to see one’s parents again really sucks.
