All 5 kidney transplant centers I listed in NC do pediatric transplants but I have no idea if she would meet the requirements of their selection committee and it is unlikely anyone outside of the selection committee could say for sure.
One thing I found interesting is UNC and Wake are just a few minutes away from Durham and neither was mentioned in their article. None of the 5 I listed would need any significant extra expense for someone near Duke to need $25k more in travel expenses.

What is the case here is that she previously contracted and recovered from COVID. That is the single and only point to this. Period.
You obviously have much more experience than I do with this over the past year. I am sure you have spent a ton of time consulting physicians and specialists all over the Southeast (Dallas, Shreveport, Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Birmingham, and Atlanta). I am also sure you have spent hours in prayer and with prayer groups watching someone you love succumb to renal failure, dialysis, having a failed fistula. I am sure you know everything that goes into getting on the transplant list. All the complications that arise on a healthy recovery. The sheer number of pills and Dr visits and blood work required post op. How quickly someone can go from "good" to an extreme emergency with a cold during the recovery because their body is doing everything it can to recover and any virus or infection can quickly become life threatening. I am sure you know all of this far better than I do.
I agree and am against forced vaccines for the healthy especially teens and children. That is not the case here. Too many people in this thread are putting their political blinders on and ignoring people who have real life experience and knowledge on these subjects. LSUNURSE and myself aren't talking out of our arse like many others.

Can't the specific frickers can be fingered? Tar & Feathering and stockades had their place in the Public Square.

There are all sorts of things you have to agree to do and not do when trying to get added to an organ transplant list. If you decide not to abide, you will not be listed. That's just the way it is. Transplant centers want to make sure they're giving a very limited resource to a person who is setting themselves up for the best possible outcome. They don't give a shite about your personal objections or politics.

Dr. Chambers said Duke was not forcing Yulia to receive a Covid shot, only recommending it.
She then added, “if you don’t follow these things, Yulia can’t be a transplant candidate here.”
