Drunk driving is trashy.

But still good information if you don't want to get stuck in line or if you have an expired brake tag.

If you think the "eye test" is bullshite, what do you think about these BAC descriptions?

0.10-0.125 BAC: Significant impairment of motor coordination and loss of good judgment. Speech may be slurred; balance, vision, reaction time and hearing will be impaired. Euphoria.

For a 13 y/o girl drinking alcohol for the first time? Maybe. Anyone who isn't a complete amateur drinker? Not so much.

Interesting...I live a couple miles from there. It seems like an odd place for a checkpoint

I guess that’s the point

It was still going on about 1:00am. Traffic was congested from I-12 to Bootlegger Rd. I wonder how many drunks were captured.

Randy Smith issued a statement earlier in the week, maybe Wednesday, that there would be "multiple checkpoints throughout the holiday season". I wonder if that comment satisfies the court requirement to notify the public beforehand. Typically, there will be a notice the day before or day of saying there will be a checkpoint somewhere in the parish. It's pretty vague and it's a big parish.

I'm waiting for some poster to start crying about their dead relative that was killed by a drunk driver.

Your dead relative is NOT more important than the freedom of the United States of America.

I am sorry he/she died, and I dont condone drunk driving, but suppresive authoritarian rule is not the answer.

I would gladly give my life to prevent check points.

Little too much. I just drink at home or my hunting camp and that’s it. Too much to risk.
