I first heard about Mormon colonies in Mexico on the joe rogan podcast and found this from 2012 when Romney was running for president. This was very fascinating to see the Mormons fighting off the cartels.

It’s funny he calls them Mormons when in the first interview with LeBaron he even says his family broke away from the Mormon church. The reporter doesn’t even provide accurate information.

I know one mormon really well, has 7 kids all going to byu, spends all his pto on disaster relief missions, but he is armed like a motherfricker and it does not surprise me at all that mormons would go ham on shitheads invading their shite. They are all preppers, by doctrine. He likes to say the LDS were the original preppers before prepping was a thing.

They almost went to war with the US back in the 19th century.

Johnston's army was sent to eradicate the Mormons (1857 - Buchanan's Blunder). The Mormons sabotaged the army's route all the way through the Rocky Mountains. The army planned on feeding their men from food in SLC. But SLC evacuated all the residents, took every scrap of food. By the time the army arrived, it was almost Winter (planned to arrive mid-Summer). The Mormons left food for the almost-starved-army every 20 miles or so from SLC to Wyoming. By Spring, still in Wyoming, Johnston's army was ordered to return to the east.

The Mormon leadership doesn't like to discuss this period. In fact, they actively discourage any discussion of it among members... and neither does most U.S. military historians as it was an embarrassment. It was clearly a defeat for the army, and without a single shot fired.

Encyclopedia Britannica, 11th edition (1911) has a great account of this.

The joke goes like this....

Mormons keep 2 years of supplies ready for emergencies.

So I keep a list of Mormons to rob in case of Emergencies.

But in reality you better bring an army with you because they would not go down easy.

And each member the group has the other’s sixes (as Goose would say*).

Pick on a Universalist Unitarian first.

Much easier target and they have zero concept of the real world.

We tried a UU church out for a few months. You are definitely correct there.

Nice share.

It is funny when Vice inadvertently makes a case for the wall to be built.

No chance they would produce someone like this in 2019.
