Driving Back Home to be with Family during Coronavirus

So I live in Florida, parents live in Kentucky. With everything going on right now I'm off work for at least 2 more weeks. Luckily I'm one of the ones still getting paid.
With Tampa considering a Stay at Home order tomorrow I'm thinking about getting on the road and driving back to Kentucky to take care of my parents. My parents are both in their 70s so in the high risk group. The way I look at it I could spend some time with them as well as do all their errands for them. By doing that my parents wouldn't have to leave the house.
Some friends of mine though completely disagree with me. They say people like me are going to simply extend the quarantine period. Plus several have asked "what if you have the coronavirus and spread it to them, could you live with yourself?"
At this point I have no reason to believe I have the coronavirus but obviously I could be asymptomatic and still have it. Anyone else here who is off work, working remotely or furloughed going back home to be with family during this time? Do you think I should or should not do this?

I’m dying to go see my frail Dear Mum and her sister. But I just can’t risk exposing them. So I’ll wait even though it’s killing me.

If there's any chance you have it, you're more than likely going to give it to them.
Since there's really no way to know if you have it, and since they're in the high risk group...I don't know man, it would make me nervous.

I say go.. I know others will say not to "Out of abundance of caution". But they could probably use some help.

That's the way I'm looking at it as well. See family and have kind of a small vacation.
I was going to go back in May and I know it won't be a normal visit since so many places will be closed, but since I'm off anyway the way I look at it I can save that vacation time for later.

Look at it this way. If you don't go and help them out, they'll be forced to go out themselves, exposing themselves to a larger number of potential virus carriers.
This way, they'll only be exposed to one potential: you.

The way I look at it is this way though. What is more likely to happen. That I have it and give it to my parents while visiting them (and I've already had little to no social isolation in the last 2 weeks)? Or that my mom gets it from some random person going grocery shopping and then gives it to my dad?
I'd feel better knowing that it's just me in contact with them compared to my mom and/or dad having to be in contact with strangers at the supermarket. Am I wrong in this thinking?

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'd rather take the risk instead of sitting back and having to have them go out themselves.
They're far more likely to get it if they have to go out and be in contact with a bunch of strangers rather than just be in contact with me and maybe my sister.

Yeah I understand your rationale. I don't think you're wrong, I'd just hate for you to wake up on day 3 of being home with symptoms and have that panic set in.
