When did AA claim itself as a place to go for medical help?
It’s a place for people that want to get sober and stay sober and it works for those people that give it an honest try.
That’s all AA claims itself to be in spite of what you may have mistakenly thought

I support AA because that is one of the things that saved me.

As i said earlier, i had a doctor stick his nose out for me. Risked his reputation on my dumbass word of honor.

I get involved in AA threads because i dont want anybody else to go through what i went through. If i can possibly help one person, even for a few hours, it is worth it to me. Hell, my email is in this thread. I risk porn bombs, tinder hacks, whatever else the ot does, bit if that one person shoots me an email i can help fight this awful disease, it is worth it.

What does that mean?? I've admitted things in this thread that were hard to type. AA helps some people but maybe not most. I fail to see a problem with that

You just said rehab wasnt the answer either.

So, what is your ideal answer?

If the exact answer was known, chemical dependency would be effectively eradicated.

Go to AA if you want to talk about dependency.

Go to rehab if you want to professionally treat dependency.

I was asking your opinion.
