and thats why State dominated by Republicans and States run by Democrats have the exact same tax rate and economic stability, crime states, environmental regs

Using your logic, who is paying property taxes on the rental properties these non-homeowners are living in?

Renters are paying the property taxes, sometimes. The taxpayers are paying them for the rent controlled and section 8. A lot of renters don't realize that tax will raise their rent.

Do you really think that property taxes would pass in the poorest areas of a city at 70-80% because those people realize that they are going to be out of money? They either don't know or it won't matter to them.

And they pass by more than 50% where home ownership is near 100%.

Some people understand that taxes pay for shite and people like nice shite.

Louisiana is trying your plan of really high sales tax. We are so cutting edge.

I definitely believe that people that don't own property shouldn't be able to vote on property taxes.

Absolutely. Never gonna happen but I agree. I'm renting right now and I would have no problem being told I can't vote on a property tax increase.

A big reason we are so overtaxed is because of the non contributors who vote yes on tax increases. What do they care, they don't have to pay it.

It was for the "don't forget to vote tomorrow" crowd. Those people are generally morons. Not the people that say it. Just the people that go vote because of some Facebook post. Not directed at you

Increased homestead exemption. The previous decade we have been doing a good job of repealing taxes in this state.
