It wasn’t like I was standing on my porch with a shotgun
You already said you grabbed your firearm. So you were or weren’t standing on your porch with a gun?

One of my dogs is a GSP and he’s a pointing mofo too. Such a smart breed.

One of my dogs alerts me when the UPS truck is three blocks away.
I hope your dog didn't eat up the window trying to get at them like my dog did. Lol

My dog won't bark at the cars passing, but as soon as a tire hits a piece of limestone in the driveway it's go time. What amazes me is that if it's me or my wife he doesn't bark. I have no clue how he knows it's one of us, whenever he can't see us, but he does.

My dogs can sense another dog being walked in front of our house from the back yard without seeing them.
The GF and I talk about a similar thing frequently. We live in a downtown area and ours can either hear or smell another dog being walked a solid 30 seconds before they walk by. She can even distinguish if it is a dog that gets her excited. She will not get up if it is a dog she likes but if it's the other, she will be at the door waiting.

Let me preface this by saying I live on a lot of acreage. My driveway is extremely long. So long, UPS and USPS refuse to deliver packages to my doorstep. You don’t come here unless you’re invited.
My dogs started going crazy about twenty minutes ago and at first I didn’t know why. They heard the car before I saw headlights. Once I saw the headlights, I let them out and grabbed a firearm. I think this woman expected a vacant home, as a lot of homes in my area are second homes and remain unoccupied for most of the year.

Sounds like a special GF.

You can’t walk within 100 yards of my house probably more without my dog going nuts, and she ain’t some little shite dog that just likes to bark… I guess it’s good, I fricking hate it.

Not many things better in life than a good dog

That’s terrifying. Should repost it in the scary stories thread.
