re: Does your neighborhood have get togethers or cookouts?

we actually get a permit from the city and block off our street once a year and throw a big block party. Each household cooks something and we have games, mazes and bounce houses for the kids, beer and liquor for the adults, and usually have someone DJing or playing live music. It typically ends up in someones back yard where we all get sloppy and start talkng shite until all hours of the AM.....

then we dont see each other for another year or so except just the causal passing in the street
