You misunderstand the standard for reaching heaven or hell.
White lies can send you to hell, but repented abortionists can go to heaven. All depends on what you put your faith and trust in.

There's no such thing as well, so no.

No, but you can face perdition for attempting to contaminate
a democracy with religion-motivated bullshite.

I do understand the argument and somewhat agree that good public policy as it extend to legal matters should consider the "sanctitiy of human life." If we don't have respect for human life, it opens the door for human atrocity. I get that. I do respect the people who don't support abortion because it's the taking of a human right. I can also empathize to a certain degree because I don't support capital punishment.
I don't think abortion is good. Abortion does trouble me when the argument tends towards "abortion is promoted as an acceptable means of birth control." I don't believe this is true. I just believe more strongly that it is the woman's health and future and she should have the freedom to choose how to care for her body.
I'm not going to tell you you're wrong. As a voter and participant in this system, you should absolutely do what you feel is right. I personally can't give an inch when it comes down to allowing the government to infringe on individual freedom to make personal decisions.
I do respect your position and can empathize to a certain degree. I don't know what your position is on capital punishment but if we can find common ground as two human beings. Consider this:
I personally believe without a doubt that most people executed deserve to die for their crime. However, I can't support giving the state to take lives.
I also believe some abortions are an unnecessary loss of a human life and that troubles me. However, abortions are not carried out with the intention of maliciously taking a human life. I can't support that the state has the the right step in and make the decision for a woman.
I absolutely agree that we are "a society governed by laws," and that the rule of law is the only way we can have a functioning society. Moreover, I don't think that it's wise for we as voters make decisions based solely on reason to the exclusion of morality. There are cases in law where morality trumps reason.

I will give this to the pro-life side. I'm personally persuaded by the majority decision in Roe v Wade. However, I'm not convinced that abortion is protected by the constitution. I'm not a lawyer so I don't have a lawyer's depth of understand when it comes to jurisprudence.
As a citizen, I'm willing to continue to listen and consider public debate on the constitutionality of abortion. Regardless of what we believe philosophically, we are all subject to rule of law. I would never support a federal law banning abortion, however I'm still on the fence as to that constitution protects "the right to abortion." To undermine a decision of the court would be extreme but when you look at the big picture there is no doubt the court has historically undermined the constitution. How to remedy this is beyond my understanding of jurisprudence.

It's not, and there's no "right to privacy" either. That decision was garbage law, whatever you think of abortion.
