Try it out and see how you like it. It’s a drinking, eating out going to live music, partying type of place especially for 20 and 30 somethings. If that’s your jam and your single go for it. All that going out can get expensive, though. If you stay on your toes you can mostly avoid the criminal elemtent but it’s always a few streets away...

NOLA is more expensive, more dysfunctional, and with a more widespread crime map. If you really want to be in NOLA for the festivals and whatnot, just live in one of the neighboring parishes to limit your exposure to being robbed, raped or murdered

Overwhelming majority are liberal. So be prepared for white guilt and women don't have equal rights type of women.

Lets say a job pays you commission, but the pay is still lower, would you move from BR to NOLA? Nola is much more of a place for twenty somethings.

I get paid commission in BR and I wouldn’t move to New Orleans for anything less than a 100k base and 300k earning potential for a middle of the road rep with a full relocation package.

No more expensive than BR or the MS coast. Winn Dixie is Winn Dixie and Walmart is Walmart.

Walmart sets its prices in accordance with the average income in the immediate area.

Prices for a lot of items at the Gonzales super center differ significantly from the one in Prairieville just a few miles away.
