Greenville has a hood but it's smaller and less violent than most southern hoods. Bentonville-Fayetteville in northwest Arkansas is what you're looking for.
Outside of the South, a lot of cities are hoodless (any city in Utah, Boise, San Jose, Spokane, Portland, Des Moines, Lincoln, Anchorage, etc).

Thats debateable, only because I was there last summer. There were definitely areas of mass blight (especially around Gonzaga Prep), though I dont know if there was a crime element to it.
