I knew a cute girl whose family moved to Southern California in the mid-late 90’s. She and some friends were approached by an “agent”, and enrolled them in acting classes.
The classes were a Scientology front. She left after a few sessions, but one of her friends stayed, and ended up getting a few small parts in various movies and tv shows.

Is scientology even that weird these days in comparison to other ultra mega gay shite that’s walking around this place

To me the biggest dividing line between “is it a cult” is if you are allowed to leave on your own. If you’re not, it’s a cult.

I steer clear from anyone who is a Scientologist. I’ll watch Tom Cruise movies though.

Well they take your money, force you to cut off all your family and loved ones, and sometimes lock you in a basement and beat you.
That's not even getting into Xenu and their science fiction beliefs around thetans and shite like that. It's really fricking out there.
