Of course, it almost caused an accident, and probably did, later on.
You might have also while chasing these folks down to snap a pic. When did people begin finding it far more helpful to photo someones misery and post it immediately to public forums than to stop and help out?

You've never driven in BR at 5pm.
Traffic is stop and go. No "chasing" required.
I've helped plenty of people, but these morons dumped a chair in front of someone at 45mph. They didn't stop until 2-3 miles later. They gave zero fuks about anyone else.

This issue isn't confinded to those moving blue pleather couches. I watch in fascination and horror at how some idiots drive out of The Home Depot with lumber tied with string on the roof of their VW Jetta. Others in this same category are ones who go buy that queen size mattress and strap to the top for the Ford Taurus and proceed down interstate at 70 mph.

Reminds me of a time when I helped my buddy and his dad install some cabinets they made (I came in from out of town). We loaded some up on his dad's truck and the rest on my friends truck. We strap ours down, but I guess his dad did not, plus the thing was hanging off about a good 5 ft at least. Well it just started to lightly rain and we start to go up this hill following his dad. Next thing we see is the cabinet start to lift up and then take flight off the truck into the road. Thankfully we was able to stop and no traffic was coming. The cabinet was fricked as you could imagine. Also at the time, we didn't know his dad didn't strap the cabinet down.
