Does anyone have carnivorous plants in their house?

Looking at a Venus fly trap to sit on the window sill. Are they hearty plants?

Used to have some growing up. Should last as long as you'll keep watering it. They can get out of control tho:

had one a few years back, was pretty cool to have. I'd collect dead flies and such to feed them. of course they'd immediately close up.

Fairly so. They go dormant every 3 to 5 months in the winter though, but they are a perennial so they grow back every year. Keep their soil moist but don't overwater them. They also do better outside than inside-they like moist air. They can survive a freeze in the winter, though not an extended one. Hope that helps.

I had an awesome pitcher plant, but I lost it in the divorce. I need to get another.
