Why didnt you?

Because there was almost no snow left on the driveway when I was done, and we don't have snow/ice in the forecast. Plus, the sun is out (and has been out all day), so any residual ice/snow would melt on its own (and did). I'd prefer to save the salt for when I actually need it.

She just couldn't understand that.

Mine puts her coffee spoon in the sink. So, not only do you still have to put it in the dishwasher... you also have to rinse the sticky brown spot out of the sink.

No because it’s not considered living space so it’s not covered by insurance

Eta: unless it’s ventilated and you make it living then that area becomes your base flood elevation level which can kill you when it comes to getting flood insurance
