Does anybody else have problem with ingrown hairs on head after haircut?

Really random but for a few years now after I get a haircut with trimmers I’ve been getting really bad ingrown hairs from using the trimmer. I’ve communicated this to all the haircut stylist and barbers. They continue to just cause the same problems.
Does anybody have the same problem? I’m probably going to have to request to have back of the head cut using scissors like an old man from now on.

Don't get it cut as short or ask for no clippers

I use Witch Hazel on my face to help ingrown hairs. It seems to help.

Well how short do they cut your hair?

Yes... right above the nape of the neck in the hair...Right after I get a hair cut I get big nasty pimples.. (I guess you are right that they are ingrown hairs?).. I asked the lady about it and she had no answer.. I asked her to make sure to disinfect her clippers..She acted all pissed.. I just had a major mowing and so far no pimples..

Usually like a 1.5 whatever that is. I recently started just cutting it down myself during the “pandemic”. Don’t mind it but they still a problem. Just looking for some kind of resolution. They get inflamed, etc.
I have the same problem when I shave. I’m going to have to do the witch hazel thing.
I went to the dermatologist once and she was like “yeah my husband has thick hair too. Want to try electrolysis?” So I’m guessing there is no medical solution.
