It's good for America. Lots of struggling artists making killing right now once they transitioned their skill from canvas to hipsters and suburban moms.

What’s the problem exactly?

Are you new here? The OT hates tattoos.

OT ballers regularly pass on IRL 10s after they discover she's trashy because of her one small hidden tattoo.

Why does it matter to you if someone gets a tattoo?

People need to mind their damn business. People enjoy tattoos these days. I have relatives over 50 that just got their first. No big deal

If someone wants a tattoo then they should get a tattoo. I don't see it as a problem.

I don't judge those with tattoos. Well, within reason. Tattooing your face and shite is still weird to me.

Agreed.

I largely don't judge people with visible tattoos, but anything on the hands or face/neck area is a bridge too far for me. We all know the person(s) with full sleeves or a rager back tat who is a corporate exec pulling $250k/year, but I've yet to encounter someone with a face tat who has zero felonies and a steady office job.

I don't have a tattoo but have flirted with the idea of getting one of my kids' birth dates. However, I've never understood the people who get tattoos (Chinese symbol, random animal, sun) they don't closely associate with via an experience. To me, for the most part you need to think about it and plan it. I thought about getting my fraternity letters tatted on me when I was in college, and I wasn't too far removed from graduation when I realized how stupid it would have been and was thankful I hadn't.

I know a person with a visible anchor tattoo who never served a day in the Navy, and just got it because they like anchors. We all know the suburban housemom who has a Chinese symbol. I know a guy who has a "my brother's keeper" tat who doesn't have a brother

At the end of the day, I'm a "live and let live" and "to each his own" type of person. I wonder what the Chinese symbol for that is?

Tattoos are trashy, both on guys and girls. Just a nasty look

Who is going to work at fast food restaurants if we ban tattoos and smoking?
