Doc Suggestions - Inguinal Hernia

Hey guys....I need a suggestion for a good doctor to evaluate and potentially repair a possible inguinal hernia.
Nothing protruding or anything....but lingering "pulled muscle soreness" for about 6 months.
Thinking I would rather let an expert evaluate and rule this out. I could go see my PCP but he would refer me to a specialist anyway....so figure I will cut out the middle man and just get a specialist opinion.

Where are you? I can recommend the one that did mine but for all I know you’re in Idaho.

I never went to a PCP first. Straight to the specialist.

Go to general surgeon for evaluation.

If in BR area, there are alot of good options. The surgeon group operating out of the center next to the OLOL main hospital are all good as are the BRG Bluebonnet ones.
I recommend Karl Leblanc from the OLOL group because he wrote the book on hernia surgery, literally I think he authored a manual on it. Also he has a cool mustache.
