I always enjoyed hunting with hounds,e.g. "Tally Ho." On foot with a bassett hound pack is also enjoyable.

If I had more time, I'd love to go out on some hog hunts.

Nice going. Now everyone here suspects you actually do.

You can cure that stigma by going on a wild hog hunt- using a knife.

Hint: If successful, you will have learned they are neither weak nor innocent.

It's awesome if you aren't the one having to pay for the lease. It was nice doing it every now and again. The mornings were pretty and quiet. I don't know if I could do it almost every weekend during the season like some guys I know.

neither do I. The deer I kill are strong and violent. Unless I have to wipe the milk off their mouth, but that isn’t often.

If you eat meat, someone did.

Gents, there are too many deer running around out there. Please kill as many of them as possible with firearms because they are running into our lanes on the highways.

Not surprising on the OT this has 45 upvotes and 5 downvotes. The board where the majority of the guys sit down to pee.

I eat what I kill almost daily in the form of deer sausage, deer smoked sausage, deer burgers, deer ground meat, deer back strap, deer stew meat, deer steak, deer roast, deer sticks/jerky.

Can’t tell you last time my family bought beef from the store. We do buy chicken though.

I agree brother. Don’t know what I’d be doing if I didn’t hunt, fish, and golf. More people need to touch grass. Too many soy boys sitting around drinking, smoking, and jerking off.

I'm just as happy with a camera in my hands as a gun.

I have to get away from concrete and steel often or I go insane.

we used to go duck hunting a lot down in south La and my dad would invite a neighbor who my dad grew up with, he never fired a shot, but brought his camera, we made him carry a shotgun though so we could count him as a shooter for getting an additional limit, I haven't been hunting in decades, no desire to, but I'm with you on the camera, love to get out and see"naitcha," just don't have the desire to blow everything away anymore

I only hunt for food. I am not fond of "trophy hunters."

Same with fishing. I am not out for lunkers, I'm out for food.

that's another reason I stopped hunting, if I'm not going to eat it I'm not going to kill it, I still go salt water fishing occasionally, but we eat what is caught
