I claim it a tie. Going to need a rubber match to decide who gets the belt. No holds bar.

Yes. Bad for business to have your #2 title on a vanilla midget video game geek.

That's why AEW is ultimately going to fail, in my opinion

Too many small, short wrestlers whose gimmick is that they love wrestling. That caters to the hardcore but not the masses. The masses want to see larger than life wrestlers and with fun gimmicks and crazy storylines

I don’t think anyone’s really obsessed over it here

There’s always roids

Personally I hope josh barnett’s Bloodsport events pick up more steam. Thery are basically shoot works and it’s not a ring but a tatami like on the movie bloodsport

I couldn’t possibly care less

I’d have to see how the draft shakes out to definitively answer, but the draft isn’t starting until the 11th

Fans got spoiled during the Monday Night Wars with the champion appearing every week. When the champion appears, it's supposed to be a special occasion. The weekly shows are to build up a challenger and make him appear to be a viable threat, and then face the champion. There's no need to have the champion in TV every single week. Back when I was a kid, Backlund was the face champion. They'd build up one heel after another to face him, and he'd always emerge victorious when he appeared. Same with Hogan. Hogan rarely wrestled on TV, certainly not on Superstars or Prime Time. He'd wrestle on house shows, ppvs, and the occasional Saturday Night's Main Event.

EXCACTLY! Those first brought in during the Attitude Era were spoiled with SCSA and Rock every week. SCSA probably shaved 4-5 years off his career because of it, The Rock may or may not have left when he did if he wasn't white hot. I've been to just about every show that's aired...The final Superstars Taping (Entire Doink-Crush buildup...HBK wrestling 5 matches in one night... the night where Nailz attacked Vince backstage) before RAW, Main Event (Mega Powers breakup), Smackdown (way back when R-Truth was known as K-Kwik), IYH: Over the Top (SCSA-Dude Love with Vince + stooges officiating and Sable getting pinned by Mero), and Extreme Rules (New Day's first title win.) I'm only missing the Rumble and WM.

If anything champions are over used and should only be on TV for special occasions. The big difference though is Brock doesn't do house shows unlike Hogan & Savage.

That’s why TV champ was a dope belt. Mid card belt fought every taping. Top guy or #2 guy off TV/cutting promo.

I dont stoped watching wrestling in about 2003-2004. i watch the old stuff alot but that tna broken matt storyline from a few years ago was the best thing i had seen in wrestling in years. Wish wrestling had more of that.

The “masses” must be sleeping on the half dozen giants in WWE, because their weekly ratings suck.

AEW arguably has the greatest wrestler of all time as it’s top guy in his swan song.

No offense bro, but I'm a pro wrestling historian, I manage and work for numerous pro wrestling sites, I've worked in various capacities in this business, and Jericho is nowhere near the GOAT. He's not even even the Top 50 all-time worldwide. And yes, I can provide a list if necessary.
