Ubers are essential for my work, so I do what I can to keep the good drivers on the road. I probably spend 10-15K on ubers for the year for work.

What job requires $15,000 in Uber rides per year? Your moron boss should just buy you a car.

If the driver pulls up I get in, the driver doesn't talk, and then drops me off, zero tip.

Why? This sounds perfect.

I don't remember that as being a reason. It was more about using a App for convenience and knowing for sure what your cost would be so as to not have to negotiate with cabs, etc.

I remember the first time I used Uber there wasn’t even an option to tip. I’m sure since they’ve added the tip options, Uber keeps more of the sale

If you went to a nice restaurant and paid a $300 bill and the waiter kept 60% would you tip them ?

that the heavy-traffic trip that took 20 minutes when it should have taken 5-10? Your driver got like 5-6 bucks for that,

$15-18/hr for driving a car doesn’t sound like a bad gig for a side hustle, especially considering that’s prob post-tax earnings

What about the surge rates in larger cities where that 20 minute drive turns into a $50-60 fare before tip?

Wtf! 20%+???? You’re an idiot. Stop using Uber if you think they take too much from the driver. I’m sure the driver will stop driving for Uber if they aren’t making what they deem to be enough money. Freaking social justice warrior spending someone else’s money to make himself feel better …moron.
