Do you pick your own powerball numbers?

Last time around, I just let the "computer" pick them for me; didn't look at them until after the drawing. Somehow I got fricked. 3/5 lines had 3 same numbers each. I only got 3 different powerball numbers.

Yes. I saw what the computer picked the last time, and I was not thrilled, so I decided to go solo this time around.

Why weren't you thrilled? You think you magically have a better chance at guessing the right numbers than the computer? This isn't the movies where you win off of a hunch, everyone has a hunch.

lady at the convenient store the other day made a comment that she heard you had a better chance at winning if you pick your own numbers. I thought that was an interesting exercise in statistics.
