This is nothing a 100 cases of fire water and some mardigras beads can't fix.

I thought most Native Americans lived below the poverty line.
What does being an Indian pay?

Worked with a guy years ago who got $1200/month.
Not bad.
Not bad.

I am a sympathizer for the American Indians but the pipe line company pays for the right a-ways months in advance. If they did not want them on their land they should have negotiated then or stipulated if they find significant artifacts they will have to reroute the the pipe line. Don't expect the company to pay out of their pocket for the tribes ignorance.

The question is, why are they being attacked by dogs and the like? Isn't this pipeline nobama's puppy?

The pipeline isn't going through a burial ground, its 1-2 miles away. This is all about money.
It happened a while back when building an Indian casino that they discovered an actual burial ground where they wanted to build. It wasn't so sacred to them then when there was money involved.

I could say something mean about the Sioux Indians but I have reservations.

They're not even real Native Americans. I don't see one with even war paint on their face or cool feathers, or even a cool buffalo skin jacket.
Not even a bow 'n arrow.
I think the NA's should rise up and really pay homage to their fallen ancestors.

Injuns can't catch a break. Still getting fricked over by the government after all of these years.

The question is, why are they being attacked by dogs and the like?
Then I watched the video that was made to support them by the way, and the Native Americans were being completely unruly, instigating the entire thing, and putting some construction working dudes who were really just there to do a job in harm's way.

I'm more worried about it polluting the Missouri River.

The Indians did get really hosed. I say throw them a little something extra in the way of school assistance.

You have made a lot of assumptions based on little historical information.
Just like the Black man, my people have been on gov't assistance for years. More years than any other group. The Indians that choose to stay on reservations are still "downtrodden" because they have become used to your measly little handouts. They have become dependent on the gov't therefore slaves to your gov't. Nowhere near the "paid well" you proclaim . Afterall, Unlike the black man whose ancestors that were brutally given up by their own to leave a God forsaken land and were moved to horrid living conditions so that the current generation can now live in luxury, (even inner cities are better than their ancestral lands) our ancestral land is beautiful. We had a good life. We want our land back. We don't want your pitiful gov't hand outs in reality. We want your stupid president to apologize to us and give it all back to us.
What about me some may ask? Just like some black men there are those of us that go off of the reservation to participate in the "American dream". I am now what you call an "OT baller".
One of the perks of staying on reservations is the ownership of some totally useless North American acres. You Caucasians are getting a preview of what happens when you don't protect your borders.
But, no, you want to put pipes that may explode on our lands further scarring what you brutally herded what was left of my ancestors onto in the name of progress.
So do they want bigger checks? Hell yes they do. Unlike the black man our people are still downtrodden because you are still causing us to be "downtrodden".
I dare you to go out west to reservations in the northern part of Arizona. Check out the rocks you have given us in Utah. How about the great acreage in North Dakota where you are already fracking up. One you don't want to miss is South Dakota. THEY live in conditions like the slaves had to before they were freed. Yeah, they are really "paid well". check out those places and then tell me about how well they are paid.
