Yeah, I'm really bad about buying all sorts of hats when I travel. Usually Fedora type straw golf hats and baseball caps (not trucker hate, can't stand those) ... but when I'm in South Florida (a lot lately because we bought a house in Jupiter near the grandkids) I seem to be gravitating towards Havana and Panama style straw hats.

I've got too many hats honestly, but I keep buying more. Can never have too many 82nd Airborne hats.

I think the only hat I've bought on a vacation was a visor when we were on a Disney Cruise. Forgot to pack a hat, and when we were spending a day on their beach, I snagged what I could find in the gift shop. It was just a black visor with a tiny little logo on the front. No idea where it is now. I wore it to cut grass in for years.

I've also done the MLB hat thing. We'd take a big group trip every summer back in the 90s going around for a week or two seeing different parks and games. I'd get one in the stadium where we were. Ended up with about half of the MLB teams over several summers. We never really got further west than Denver, so I didn't have the Mariners or California teams, and we hit NYC, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Milwaukee, Cincy etc, but didn't go to Boston, Cleveland, and a few others up that way.
