Well that's your opinion and my opinion of your opinion is you're an idiot. No way any person on earth could raise thier child to where they were perfect. For you to sit here and try to say you have shows your parenting.skills loud and clear. You are the type that think thier child is perfect when all the other parents talk about how bad your kid is and how shitty of a parent you are.

Some women need stuff like that for the sting effect because they aren't strong enough to whip a 8 yr old

This kid had wounds left on his arms and back though. That's not a mom trying to get attention.

If you draw blood you've gone too far. Still wouldn't call it child abuse unless it's repeated.

This I agree with.

Anytime you have to beat/whip/spank a child it is child abuse. There is no reason to ever have to do it if you have done a good job as a parent from day 1.

And to answer ops question yes.. An extension cord is excessive and uncalled for.

Do you consider it abuse that it was on the back and arms? Or is the fat of an arse cheek okay? Not implying anything, just initiating debate.

Once again you have no idea what you are talking about. I already said how I discipline my kid, and how she has acted up before. She still misbehaves, and I'm sure she'll continue to. But I have been able to take care of it without resorting to hitting her. And I'll continue to be able to do that. Luckily for me my daughter pretty much never acts up in public, so she has been welcomed everywhere. Maybe I lucked out with her, maybe it's how I have been raising her. Who knows?

So not only are your parenting skills in question, your reading comprehension skills are also in question.

I was whipped with a belt on my bare arse. The belt had zebras imprints. After the whipping so did my arse.

I was also paddled with a board in both elementary school and junior high school by the vice principle.

I deserved every bit and a lot more. Made me a better person and taught me lessons not to do bad things.

Cord, belt, piece of wood. All the same purpose, inflict pain to teach a lesson. Support.

I was never physically disciplined and I'm better than all of you.

He shouldn't have tried to duck. Or he should have stayed still.

He'll know better now

You stated if a child makes a mistake big enough to be spanked the parents have failed them. That statement alone shows your ignorance. You don't whip your little bad arse kid good for you but don't dare judge someone that does rather it be me or any one else on this thread. Because alot of people judge you as a failure of a parent for not ever spanking your child. Again you're that parent everyone laughs about behind thier back gurantee it.

I'll say this too, when I was 18, I bowed up on my dad. He tried to walk away and I called him a coward and bitch.

"Fight" lasted about 12 seconds. About 4 seconds into it I noticed my mouth was bleeding and I was no longer breathing. I surrendered with a quickness.

Now, my dad was a 30 year Green Beret special forces veteran of two wars (Vietnam and Panama). However I thought I was Billy motherfricking Badass when I was 18 and could frick up anyone and everyone. Those 12 seconds might have saved my life down the road. I learned I was nothing and I am pretty damn sure it saved me an arse beating 50X worse at some point in my young life.

I can't see any of those being acceptable.

Be a man and use your damned hand. At least then you can tel how much pain you are inflicting. A coward uses those other things.

My parenting skills aren't in question yours are. Spankings have been around since the beginning of time yet you and your generation all the sudden disagree with them. So one absurd generation knows better than the rest of the entire human existence. Congrats guy congrats.
