Latin America is already well defined. It really isn't the OT's place to redefine the globe.
I wonder WTF you people wonder about.
Exactly. I don't get this trend of thinking geography is subjective and can be redefined based on the latest whims. You can do something absurd like "consider" Canada part of Latin America. But that doesn't mean it's actually so any more than if you considered yourself as the fifth Beatle just because you own the White Album

Well, hell, you've got a VERY LOUD minority of folks convincing weak-minded folks that the equipment/anatomical plumbing you're born with is 'fluid' and open to your own whims...I mean, near-total deNYEl of science and 10,000 years of civilization. Why not geography as well?
Then the language, where these wonderfully whimsical redefiners wish to create their own, INDIVIDUAL pronouns and then DEMAND the rest of society to use them, and not only use them, but to have learned them a priori or we're racist/bigots/homophobic "haters."

I know the conventional geography and definition of Latin America, and basically agree with it. But I do agree with some here, that it indeed DOES extend to the northern Gulf Coast. I always tell people, that New Orleans is the northernmost big city of the Caribbean/Latin America and we go north to go to the Deep South.

Puerto Rico and Haiti, yes.
The USA and Canada are not part of Latin America even if those specific areas have a lot of French/Spanish influence.
